Photographing people has been a passion of David Taylor since the early '80s. He has photographed such luminaries as President George H.W. Bush, Governor Pete Wilson, President Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and well-known musicians and businesspeople. To get stellar results from a personal photo session, David focuses not only his camera but also his gift for sensitivity and communication to help his subjects feel at ease. He motivates people as he alleviates any stress they might feel at the portrait session. He gently persuades them that the experience will be a happy one.
David realized early in his career that he had the twin gifts of sensitivity and the ability to help people grow. Thus, a second passion came into his life—a passion to assist people toward understanding and feeling good about themselves. He has studied the skills of platform speaking, and was a featured speaker at WPPI 2009.
